Holy bajeeze Louise, it has been so HOT!! Lucky for us, the pool is our neighborhood got a fresh dose of water last week, so we have spent much of the crazy 112 degree heat down by the cool of the pool. Max has turned into quite the duck after swimming lesson boot camp, and has developed quite the tan as well. Our friends, Brayden and Kaylen, joined us on Friday and Saturday...that always makes pool time so much more fun! And we even had a quick morning trip to the Splash Pad. Whatever we can do to stay cool!
Brandon also had his last church league softball game of the summer....rounds of applause from this Mama! It just seems like their seasons last FOREVER and wrangling a Max at the ballpark is a tish bit exhausting. Looks like Brandon will have to pick up a new hobby in his down-time! I snapped this picture at the ballpark on the playground, and I even grabbed a quick shot of Brandon and Max playing "telephone" with bananas. Who knew that Brandon was so creative after all? I must have to stand corrected on this one:)
The last few pictures are just some of our crazy week. Max has now perfected the art of negotation for picture taking. It's now an, "I'll let you, if you let me"... Not sure how well this will turn out for me in the long-run. Hence, the reason for the goggle picture of us both.!
And then you have Optimus Prime cooling off, a cute little monkey face and ending with a picture of a day in the life of Max...the dirty face! Off for a lazy family day, barbeque ribs, and fireworks tonight! Let's pray that the neighborhood crazies will not try to burn our house down-ha! Happy Birthday, 'Merica! May we one day soon remember the principles upon which this great country was founded...
