Gosh, all this London at every turn makes me feel like I need to grab a scone and some Earl Grey tea. I can't remember the last time that I've watched so much television! Lovin' the Olympics, but I have one small complaint to Team USA's Olympic committee. We need a stylist. Call in Rachel Zoe, if needed, but just because Ralph Lauren designed the opening ceremony uniforms does not mean that they were stylish. I mean, we're completing with the Italians...hello, Armani? Those white skits and Keds just looked homely. Not a fan.
I have been on the mission of trying to convince the Head B to give into my desire to put Max in gymnastics classes. I mean, he's almost four and his energy is endless--everyone says that it helps with boys agility and balance, and (let's be real) I would love to find something that makes him tired! And then, I watch the men's gymnastics team competition last night. Yes, Brandon was in DC, but I swear I could hear him telling me that it was never gonna happen. I can read his mind even when he's 13 hours away!!
And with all the swimming and the Michael Phelps, I have to show a fun little tidbit I took yesterday at the pool. Yes, that is a super dark cloud behind him, but--no need to worry--it only produced about seven total rain drops!
Then to welcome B home tonight, Max and I made a homemade apple crisp--one of his favorite sweet treats. Thanks to lots and lots of apples from Grandaddy's apple tree, we might be making several of these in the near future. I am even being very, very nice and waiting on him to cut it. Can someone just chalk up a few point beside my name? I am certain that I will need the extras in the near future:)
