I'm getting too old for this!! Working AOII's international conference in Franklin with programming and events for 700 people makes me tired. I think I've finally caught up on my sleep and I'm hoping that my feet will be the next to recoup.
Max and I were so excited yesterday--we got to babysit Baby McCoy while Kaythryn got her teeth cleaned. He helped me pull out a few of the baby things from the attic (still amazed that the batteries still worked), and I got a small glimpse of a reminder of the chaos that takes over your house during infancy. About 3 minutes after Kaythryn left, McCoy let me loudly know that he had a tummy ache--Max looked at me and said, "Mommy, you need to sing him the song from Dumbo!" So we both sang him the Dumbo song, and it made me smile that he remembered that. He was a great helper--at one point, he tried to even share his popcorn with McCoy. Now, THAT is a big deal--I normally am not even that privileged!!
Then, to round out our day, we had family photos! I love pictures, but Brandon LOATHES them, and Max is somewhere in the middle:) Let's just say that it was hot...I have been secluded to a hotel for five days, and I'm pretty sure that I melted. Thanks, Blue Mason Photography--she made us look great! And, can you please see how much I look like my mother in the last picture? Life has officially come full circle:)
