The Dog Days...

Alright, I'm not a big weather complainer, but the constant sweating is really not very becoming. Yesterday, I looked at my office thermostat in my office--76. Really. And after an almost $400 electric bill, the constant roar of the AC at home just reminds me that next month's bill will be just as colorful:) I'm so ready for football weather--I feel like I'm melting!

We have been playing LATE outside--well, it's still 90, but it's liveable for a little bit. We met the Catheys at the park this week, and the boys had a wonderful time playing. Sippy cups nearby, but they just couldn't stay out of the misting spray. Love bringing home a wet Max...that means that he had FUN!!

I promised the boys that I would make brownies after dinner, and they convincedme to make them three times as unhealthy by adding canned frosting. How can you turn away extra hands?

And, I'm throwing this one in because it shows how creatively we play at home. We have a bedtime ritual that includes Max picking out five books for Brandon and I to read before bed. He takes his five books very seriously, and, lately, we are really interested in the "How I Became a Pirate" book. He even throws in a "shiver me timbers" and an "ahoy, matey." Such a funny little man!

Otherwise, birthday festivities are in full swing. I realized last week that adding vacation and work into the next two months, I better get a move on it. Oh, how I love party planning...even if my little guy is THREE! Can you believe it?
