Grandparents' Day

I love my Grandparents, and even though they're a bit farther away, I want Max to have fun times with them, too. As a kid, the Alexander kids would alternate our times at Memama and Grandaddy's house, each taking at least a week (and yes, we could getvery, very competitive about making sure that our time there was equal). We had a fun little bait shop on the Tennessee River between Parsons and Lexington that was our meeting spot for years and years--I'm sure the owners might even still recognize the Alexander clan, given it were summertime and two of us would be toting our suitcases. Ah, good times!
With Memama and Grandaddy visiting Lawrenceburg, we made our way down to see them. We had a fun and eventful day. And, in true course, I came home with lots and lots of fresh vegetables from their garden. Peas for me, green beans for Brandon, cucumbers, and fresh corn still in the shuck. You know, I spend lots of money on produce at the grocery and even try to visit the Farmers' Market once a week, but it just tastes so much better from Memama and Grandaddy's garden! Sweet memories:)

And, yes, this is really a picture of my mother driving a tractor. No joke.
