Always Running Behind!

Gosh, I feel like I'm always behind on blogging! So, much to say about the last couple of weeks--lots of super fun family time and lots of laughs from the little guy. He is getting so chatty lately, and he really is soooo FUNNY!

Where to start?? Well, as always, I'll let the pictures tell the story. You know that there is never any shortage of those on my computer---ha!

One very funny (and potentially dangerous) activity that Max has picked up on is riding his Radio Flyer wagon down the hill in our backyard. He loves it--makes him do that kind of laugh where he's shaking and smiling uncontrollably, but there's no noise:) But, he has one rule--he doesn't walk up the hill. And this is why he needs Brandon...

Papa Mike came by one afternoon, so Max had to show him his trick.

Brandon has also been collecting old wooden baseball bats to make a headboard for Max's room. The headboard is turning out to look awesome--not that I ever doubted Brandon's creativity, but it has been a bit of an ordeal-hehe. Here are my boys hitting balls to try and make the bats a little dirtier. Not sure if it worked since I can't imagine that my pitching skills were all that awesome.

Max is also super obsessed with dinosaurs lately. We line them up over and over and over again. I'm beginning to think that he is a bit OCD--Lord, help me!

Brandon and I spent the Labor Day weekend riding the rapids at the Ocoee River outside of Chattanooga. We've both done this many times before, but we had the most wonderful time--great river guide!! We managed to float 2/3rds of the entire river--super tired, but I learned valueable lessons about myself--I have NO survival skills whatsoever. In an emergency, I will always instinctively do exactly the opposite of what I should. So, if relying on me, I apologize in advance:)

Max stayed with Marmie and Papa, and when we got back, we went "camping"...on the deck, of course. Complete with the amenities of bathrooms, showers and "Horton hears a Who" on DVD. My kind of camping:)
Stay tuned for birthday festivity pictures...it has taken me a week to recoup:)
